This was a project collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center. A series of digital storytelling workshops were designed to empower underserved communities with limited access to technology. This collaboration which started in 2003 led to workshops in the US, Spain and Mexico which produced over 100 digital stories made by participants from these three day workshops. The project expanded to serve artists and poets. In 2006, Chavez and the NHCC were contracted by Target and Scholastic to create an online version of the Digital storytelling manual for their Hispanic Heritage program.
